What was with the hard hat and underwear outfit? Do I remember correctly that when he and mom went to the bank to make the final house payment, that is what he wore? The rest of the group looks much better: Dad and Daisy, Rick, Scott, Steve, Pat, Brody, Mom. The picture was taken in the backyard in Tempe. Someone tell me what year it is....

Was he wearing the hardhat to protect his head from scrapes, etc? That seems a little drastic. I mean, he is in the yard playing with the dog, there must be another explanation?
Mom should be able to date it. I am guessing its from before Chad and I were born. late 70's.
I think he wore the hat all day, no matter what. I wasn't home in these years---mom sent me this photo, and Greg must've taken it. I do remember, though, that he wore this outfit a lot--and he showed me the hard hat in that excited, "isn't this neat?" kind of way that he had about things he liked.
I got that awful afro right after coming back from visiting my sister in New York City right after high school. We look thin and young. It's before Scott and I married I think - 72?
