And when he left his life in New York City this is what awaited him.

But, fortunately, his brothers came for a visit. His mom came, too, and we saw her in a previous post. She must've taken the photo. (Bob, Alan, Ralph, Joe)


After they left, Dad sent a postcard to his mom:
